Most of the staff across the golf club, including the head chef, were great to work with, though I found the management culture challenging.
The good thingsThe members were consistently kind and welcoming. They took genuine interest in getting to know each staff member, which created a positive and supportive atmosphere.
The challengesUnfortunately, I found the management culture to be very toxic. In my experience, I felt the operations manager made a contribution to a negative environment by gossiping/talking negatively about staff. I found the rostering was not distributed fairly. I raised these concerns with management on multiple occasions, and I felt they were not addressed.
