Great company and great people. Fantastic working environment and very supportive!
The good thingsI have been with Young Academics since the start of the year and was hired as a Centre Manager. I can not emphasise enough, the amount of quality training and overwhelming support I have received as I prepared for my role. The management team supporting me at Gregory Hills has been outstanding!
The challengesI haven't come across any challenges so far. My Area Manager has also been very supportive and incredibly patient!

Toxic work culture, micromanagement, and poor leadership make for an unstable and stressful job environment.
The good thingsToxic Environment with No Job Security Honestly, it is difficult to find positive aspects when the experience is marred by constant stress and lack of job security.
The challengesThe work environment at Young Academics is dominated by micromanagement and inconsistent communication. Processes are disorganized, and approvals and maintenance requests are often slow and inefficient. This creates ongoing frustration and delays in daily operations. The pressure is immense, with high workloads and intense expectations that make balancing work and personal life nearly impossible. Leadership is inconsistent, with unclear directives that contribute to confusion and stress. Ultimately, the lack of trust, support, and fair treatment led to being fired without sufficient reason or warning, making it a negative and disheartening experience overall.

During my team I found Young Academics to be a very supportive company to work for.
The good thingsYA have various avenues for career growth. Area Managers have small groups which allows for frequent visits and support. Incentives are amazing for Staff, not many places offer such high discounts. Multiple forms of recognition on various platforms.
The challengesNot necessarily YA, however the outcry for Educators within the industry. YA looked at this and altered the approach on how and what they can offer future employees

Career progression driven by support, quality and passion.
The good thingsIt has been such a great experience working with this company. From starting as a trainee in 2018, I have progressed from a cert III educator to a room leader, became an ACM and quickly made my way up to becoming a Centre Manager. I have loved working with all the managers that care about not only myself but all the other educators. I have great support from head office and other CM's as well.
The challengesProgression quite fast has been a little challenging, however, it has not stopped me from pursuing my dream.

Ready to grow with the company, that has the children's best interest at heart. A place where my knowledge and skills can be shared and continue to evolve as one of the best child care providers in new south wales.
The good thingsextensive but easy onboarding process. Induction provided prior to commencement. introduction to partners and colleagues. Expectations from both parties respected.
The challenges2 colleagues in management positions not really considering my years of experience and knowledge in early years, made me feel like a trainee and i felt disrespected by them at times. especially where i could see them rolling their eyes at each other at something i said and thinking that they were discreetly sending each other emails about me, not realizing i could see what they wrote, acting a bit childish. Other than that, everyone else and the transition to my new role has been great.
