Your Community Health has been helping people in Melbourne’s north reach their health and wellbeing goals for 50 years. Best workplace Ive ever had - I feel lucky to work here
The good thingsI'm in my 40s and Ive had a lot of jobs in healthcare, and Your Community Health is by far the best organisiation Ive ever worked with. They really walk the talk with what they do and what they say. The Managers and Execs are approchable and fair and clearly care about our clients, our community and our workforce. I really like the diversity of the people who work here and the clients and community we work with. I work hard, but also have a lot of fun and genuinly love my job....when so much feels like its going wrong in the world right now, its nice to feel like the work I do makes a difference.
The challengesLike all not-for-profits the biggest challenge is funding - we have to do alot with not enough $$.

The good thingsManagers are flexible and open to feedback. Easily approachable seniors to learn from. Ability to practice complex treatments within the confines of public dentistry.
Would've stayed long-term if not pursuing specialty training.
The challengesManagers sometimes move across different sites which can be hard to follow.

The challengesTravelling my public transport is great but it takes an hour sometimes, but over all an amazing place to work for.
