It was a great experience with lots of hands on experience. There was even Cisco industry certification as well as a lot of practical work. I got a lot out of the course including a start into my career. The only downside may have been how flexible the timetable was but I managed while working part time.

Some of the lecturers/teachers were really strong and helpful, others were slightly combative and not at all helpful. One of the problem teachers either left of moved in my last year so they may not be an issue anymore. While I feel the coarse was generally balanced with good variety of stuff, while I was there some of the material was outdated and required updating. While I was able to slot into employment quickly anyway, I was disappointed there was no support or pathway into employment, and furthermore that I was unable to get credit to move onto the bachelor because my grades were low

The course I did is great, you don't just focus on one subject, you focus on different topics like networking, programming, database, multimedia.

Interesting course material, well presented and a challenging but manageable amount of work. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and the people I met throughout it.

A mix of everything to get the gist of all components within an IT field. Lots of practical work which kept us very busy throughout the year but also because it was originally a 2-year course, they condensed it into 1 year. we found that it was pretty much 9-5 every day, 5 days a week. But I am glad they made it a 1 year course

Overall the course was great, very hands on. The university encouraged collaboration and as a result a lot of transferrable life skills were learned. I ended up on a career path away from my major, but the content and skills were very diverse and made it easy to get into the industry.

I enjoy the course offered and lecturer were knowledgeable and helpful. Great environment and services provided by RMIT.

Overall I found this course to be very lackluster. Some of my teacher's idea of a lecture was a putting up a PowerPoint presentation and reading it verbatim to us for 2 hours. Other than some very basic concepts I don't feel like I gained much from this course at all.

The structure of the course is great, it allows you to experience many fields in the subject of IT and then later on focus on what you like. However this could mean you might not enjoy your first year.
