This major is designed to provide specialised knowledge of social, developmental, cultural, organisational, and qualitative perspectives in psychology. Students will be exposed to cutting edge research and practical applications in these important areas of psychology, and explore how we make sense of ourselves and others. It is ideal for students who wish to take a double major in a complementary field such as management, human resources, criminology, legal studies.


This program is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) as a three-year sequence. Registration as a Psychologist requires further study.

  • Year 12 or equivalent; OR
  • Completion of a Certificate IV or higher; OR
  • Completion of 2 units at an Australian university; OR
  • Completion of an enabling or preparation course
