The course covered theoretical and practical components that gave me a breadth of understanding and knowledge, which is what I was after. As a mature-age student, I wasn't intending to make a career of photography, but only to extend my knowledge of art and photography. I found that participation in the course and engagement with content was very beneficial to me and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

I suffer from social and generalised anxiety. I found the support, both academically and personally, very helpful. The units were engaging and offer an opportunity to develop your understanding. However, we only get from it what we put into it. So if you are willing to work hard, you can achieve anything.

Student review
The quality of journalism tutors was generally high as they were mostly still working journalists. The lecturers were mostly pretty good. However the standard of academic and professional advice was poor and the culture negative to mature-aged students.
