This program focuses on developing strategies for managing people and constructing workplace arrangements that respond to organisational and human needs. This three-year course offers students the flexibility to choose a minor from another business discipline or a second major can be selected from a range of business disciplines. Through specialised studies in human resource management, students will understand sustainable work practices and how to make organisational decisions within a broader social and economic environment. Students will receive feedback from industry and community clients or practitioners on their ability to explain concepts and present proposals in a coherent and logical manner in selected subjects. Students will gain the ability and confidence to exercise strong ethical judgment in the areas of employment relations, industrial relations, OHS, negotiation and advocacy, strategic management, and the management of human resources and human performance.

The course was fantastic. The only downside is that I didn’t see many connections with jobs during the course so we could have practiced during the studies and then land in a job on completion. TAFE courses do a much better job with that.
