I found the course to be an uninspiring and unengaging regurgitation of a textbook. Team assignments are typically all due at the same time. Huge variation in value of assignments for effort required (e.g. 20min team presentation worth 10%, 1500 word essay worth 30%). Extremely limited use of modern medias. I’m currently also studying Engineering online at another institution and find the material and deliver much more dynamic and engaging.

The course is very well structured, easy to follow and has a great support network (both from a student and tutor/ lecturer perspective). My experience studying at swinburne was a very positive one right from the beginning through to the end.

The course/online structure is suitable for professionals juggling family commitments. The vase majority of the students share common drivers and barriers. There is a genuine sense of team and comradarship. However, it does require discipline and commitment of time to do well.

I would highly recommend this degree to someone that is looking to expand this knowledge in business and gain some valuable insight of the current industries. Not as great as the on campus studies but definitely a good alternative that is almost reasonably prices (always compared to the market).

I am still completing my course but currently finding I am learning quiet a lot that can be transferred into my current employment. Sometimes hard to find the time to do the readings and group assignments even more of a nightmare than in person but overall a good experience
