Not enough practical subjects. Too focused on research

Poor support from staff. Decent choice of subjects. No assistance in terms of career support. No practical experience provided. Great opportunity to study a degree online that you can't do elsewhere, but would probably recommend doing it on campus.

Not enough practical experience. I had to volunteer on weekends in order to ensure I got relevant experience.

The course I did is no longer offered which is good. As doing a double degree has really made it hard to get a job in the exercise science field as you don't do all the subjects in each degree and therefore when you want to become qualified you have to do additional subjects after you have completed your degree.

Generally good quality teaching and materials. Would have liked recorded lectures. I requested this several times, but it never happened. Why can't all lectures be recorded and made available to external students? Residential lectures and teaching were excellent.

The course did not appeal to me at all. It was very theoretical, with limited application to "real life"; it was very one dimensional with extremely limited coverage/discussion on alternatives to the Positivist approach; assessment was heavily focused on examination rather than assessment which would enable greater application of content to areas of individual interest; there was very limited "academic disussion/analysis" amongst students primarily because everyone was just focused on getting the piece of paper at the end rather than in-depth understanding via discussion (I accept that this is difficult via on-line delivery, however if could have been fostered to a much greater extent during the intensive on-campus visits. Essentially I found the course very boring, with limited content of interest to me. As such, I did not continue with the Post Grad Certificate.

The CSU Psychology program was a comprehensive degree course which allowed me to change careers without the loss of earning capacity that often accompanies a new start. Resources available for students and a vast list of scholarship opportunities means study is affordable to anyone. Would highly recommend this University.

They changed the structure of the online honours and post graduate diploma. In the first year of this new structure students were left completely unsupported, promised materials and key assessment pieces for the thesis were missing. Grades for the thesis were so late that some people were told they would not be able to graduate. The university is poorly run, students are poorly supported, but is one of the only online versions of this degree...

Really easy to balance work and study when studying online. Good academic support from various sources available if required. Not a very practical based course but no undergrad psych course is unfortunately. Overall i would recommend CSU for anyone thinking of furthering their studies.

It was a great course that was clear in expectations and relatively easy to do well in.
