There were no internships offered and my major in counselling changed half way through my degree. This meant it was not recognised by the APA. The uni tried to convince myself and others to continue by starting another degree. It was all not worth it and I was incredibly disappointed. However, I was proud that as a working mother of 3 I managed to graduate.

Would have been better to obtain Social Work Degree due to job prospects however was a good course to do for personal growth and self-reflection. This in itself can assist in everyday life matters (eg. going for an interview, counselling skills).

Student review
The course is fantastic in terms of preparing students, future sociologists to think creatively and critically. However, the job prospects are extremely slim, despite the very high level of knowledge and understanding that graduates have about Australian society.
