Staff was understanding if situational issues arose and the course was well delivered and insightful in what theroy was needed to be taught. The practical was in a play room with real children playing to enable you to develope skills and child appropriate terms to help navigate the children to engage in the experiences in a fun and educational way. The course also enables you to identify where children are at amd what activities can be put in place for them to further their learning which can be useful for day to day life.

It was a good experience, teachers were lovely and supportive, always ready to help. The balance between practical and theory was good, but I would like the course to be more detailed and informative about children with disability.

North Coast TAFE gave me an amazing start to my career. I was unable to complete year 12 high school. I left in year 11 with no HSC, feeling very lost and unable to reach my career goals. I was lucky enough to be introduced to a TAFE pathway. I now have a Diploma which I plan to use as my ATAR for entry to university. After my TAFE course, I left well knowledgeable and supported by really incredible teachers, ready for the field I entered. 1.5 years into the workplace and I still often refer to my study, as well as inspiration given from my teachers. The study was not all smooth, as none would be, but I had very devoted teachers to implement innovative strategies and continuous support was given throughout my experience. I gained student of the year, which was an amazing experience for me who had come from year 11 high school graduate and never met teachers that I actually felt inspired by!

I found it really hard to study online for a couple of reasons. First, I had to be really committed and motivated myself to actually do the work, and secondly even navigating the online course was hard to find the assignments.

I would highly recommend going through this institution for anyone who is passionate about childcare, the only thing they do t really prepare you for is the physical toll it actually has on your body when you have finished the course and are in laid work as well as the actual responsibilities not set out in the course

The course was well set out and the tutors and assessed were very helpful and informative. Was always able to get assistance via telephone or email when required.
