    Thumbs down. High staff turnover
The good thingsHybrid role - WFH was handy
The challengesIt's basically expected that you get spoken to like dirt. And the clients know. Call desk Staff know that the next time the client calls they will get another team member, so they don't care if they give them the correct advice as long as they get them off the call. No pride in their work.

Continues to be an excellent and challenging workplace
The good thingsDuring and after Covid BP demonstrated a commitment to employee wellbeing and actively supported work from home models that are largely still in place now. As a result they have a strong culture of running distributed teams efficiently, while still maintaining dedicated offices for staff in cities.
The challengesSocial activities are minimal to non existent. There is little currently provided in the way of technical training opportunities (compared to other places I've worked.) Strong team culture helps to offset this, but don't expect to be coddled.

    A disappointing experience
The good thingsWork from home flexibility
The challengesContinual company restructures and redundancies have left staff worried for their job security. Lack of strategic executive leadership has resulted in many organisational challenges. Poor performance and employees who are toxic to the company’s culture go unmanaged.

Head of People ExperienceThank you for your feedback – we always appreciate any insights former employees can provide us, which is why it is surprising that this type of feedback was not provided during the exit interview process undertaken by employees self-selecting to depart our business. However, we admit that exit interviews are not provided for those employees who might leave the company under different circumstances or not of their own accord. With that known, we are truly sorry to hear that you feel you had a disappointing experience while working at Best Practice. Your feedback also touches on restructures and the unfortunate business needs of redundancies. These decisions are never easy, and this is why as a business, we understand the importance of communicating these changes clearly with the teams and with individuals. The impact of any changes made can and will impact people differently from person to person. Our consultation process allows employees numerous opportunities to ask questions, which has allowed us to obtain some valuable and wonderful feedback from our current team on positive changes made as a result of a recent restructure. Furthermore, we’re happy to see and hear that appointing new experienced executive leaders throughout the business has led to feedback from our team that they now feel more connected to their leader and our business mission. We acknowledge that we might not be perfect as a business, but we accept that no growing business is. We genuinely believe it’s more important to provide a workplace that supports positive and productive working relationships and continues to work towards a team culture where people are recognised and acknowledged for their contribution in a safe, engaged and happy environment for them in their role. We again wish to thank you for providing this feedback, and we wish you all the very best for your future.

Amazing place to work at and would come back given the chance.
The good thingsWorking at Best Practice was one of the best things that happened to me. I was a trainee, but treated as an adult there with a wonderful team who despite knowing that I have Autism, still treated me with great respect and looked after me well during my traineeship period.
The challengesCommunication was one of my weak points when working at Best Practice software so it came to me as a challenge, however, it helped lay the foundations for me to start communicating with end-users.

    Supportive, Encouraging and Flexible.
The good thingsI thoroughly enjoy the company culture and supportive working environment.
The challengesWorking remotely came as a surprise to everyone in 2020 but the company moved quickly and assured every employee had what they needed to WFH. IT have quickly assisted in all cases necessary and been very helpful.

Supportive team doing work that matters while still treating staff like real people
The good thingsDoing work that makes a difference. Easily relatable domain as most people have had a GP, Specialist or Allied provider experience in their daily lives. Great support from colleagues to stretch yourself and learn from mistakes. True work life balance By far my best remote-work-friendly experience in career to date
The challengesNone that stand out above any previous role/company. Always room for improvement. You'll be treated like an adult with an expectation that you focus on improving yourself in a peer group you can learn a lot from and/or share with. Don't expect black and white roles and responsibilities. The focus is on delivering better health solutions, working as one team to make this happen, in all the ways you can. Don’t just “do Agile”, rather accept some uncertainty, be open to different views, embrace change and really “be agile”.

Best Practice = Best place to work
The good thingsA team culture like nothing else you've ever witnessed before. Finally, a workplace that values your opinion, encourages collaboration and supports each other through the difficult times. Hard retaining the family run feeling as companies expand, but Best Practice is managing to do just that.
The challengesJust like any family owned and run business when you become the market leader and grow exponentially, there are some growing pains. It's to be expected, but thanks to the great culture, we're all there for each other.
Manager of People, Culture and CapabilityWOW, thank you for your review of Best Practice Software. As you have indicated in your comments, to become the market leader you will have to experience some challenges and I am so pleased to hear that we are meeting your expectations as an employer. As a business, we really do try to keep that ‘family’ feel and everything we do as a business is about building a more collaborative and supportive environment for our team members.

Was general happy with the work and workplace, but it would have been better if some staff just found a new job.
The good thingsWork life balance and flexible working arrangements Being paid overtime for additional hours on a salary Mostly good people to work with Staff catch-ups monthly - food and drinks
The challengesSome staff have been with Bp for to long and don't know how good they have it No action taken on staff who don't do their jobs
Manager of People, Culture, & CapabilityLet me say thank you for taking the time to review Best Practice Software. We still have some work ahead of us, but our journey into the future is looking strong. Feedback like this from our team (past and current) is extremely important, and it’s this feedback that will continue to provide our company with the opportunity to create new ideas that improve the work environment for all team members. It’s great that you acknowledge what the company delivers over and above the standard benefits for salary team members, as well as the monthly team activities. We acknowledge that all businesses have challenges and because of feedback like this, we’re able to review our processes and better align them for our future needs.

Good start and good promises that were just that, promises to be an employer above the line to end well below it. Absurd and dim salary review process only matched by the company's lack of commitment to the standards the preach about
The good thingsOffice's location and some good people
The challengesOvercome the initial frustration, do miracles with the scarce resources

Manager of People, Culture & CapabilityLet me start by saying thank you for taking the time to review Best Practice Software. From the feedback provided on this forum, we can only assume that your role in the company was an important one and that it must have played an important part in the development of our current systems, process and structures which now support our working environment. Regardless of our assumption, feedback in any form is an important part of a company’s ability to adapt and grow, and sometimes during these types of transformational journeys, ideas or matters can be overlooked and sometimes miss the mark. So while we acknowledge that maybe we could have done some things differently, we consider your feedback as important learning that enhances our decision making for the future. There seems to be a common and very positive theme with the feedback we receive from our current and past team members, and that is around the quality of our great team of people. We hope to be putting in place support systems and processes that help build and support our workforce into the future. Therefore, as some of the company’s future plans (that you seem to have been a part of) start to come to fruition, our team members will reap the rewards of those efforts. So again, thank you for taking the time to provide us with some valuable insights and allowing us to review our processes, which will place us well into the future.

It’s great that you acknowledge that you had a great team (people) to work with, we would also agree with you about this, as it is our team members who play an important part of driving the overall culture of a company and therefore it's working environment. It is concerning that you feel that our middle management is lacking and this feedback will allow us to go back and review the company’s communication and decision-making processes, which will hopefully grow knowledge across all levels of our company in the future.

Challenging, Diverse family business with plenty of opportunity
The good thingsGreat family owned company with fantastic values. Being able to deliver health solutions is such an amazing experience. Still a small company so roles are diverse and interesting.
The challengesNothing really, all jobs have challenges and there is nothing specific that applies to this company.
