What’s it like working at CBHS Health Fund?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees appreciate the supportive culture and friendly colleagues at CBHS Health Fund, with many describing it as a work family where people genuinely care for one another. Team leaders and management are generally understanding and value staff contributions, whilst the organisation embraces diversity and provides commendable support. Employees also value the subsidised health insurance, competitive pay, bonuses for top performers, and good work/life balance. There are opportunities to learn with resources available for those who take initiative.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as high call volumes and demanding work, particularly given the nature of the subject matter. Training for new changes can sometimes be challenging, and some employees feel there could be more career development opportunities. Some teams experience micromanagement, and there are frequent changes with ambitious timelines that can create pressure. Additionally, depending on the role, particularly in call centre positions, there may be limited flexibility with schedules.

Amazing place to work, would recommend to anyone
The good thingsFabulous staff and culture in general. If it wasn't good we wouldn't have so many staff still here after 15, 20 and even 25 years! Values are lived (walked and not just talked) Subsidised health insurance is a great bonus Range of different health and wellness activities available Leadership acknowledge challenges and are looking to address
The challengesDepending on your department/role the environment can seem inflexible but in most cases this is to be expected. For example, if you are employed as a call centre operator, there is a reasonable expectation that you would adhere to your schedule, you can't just duck out for lunch when you feel like it... but at the end of your shift you can shut down and not think about work until next shift. Those of us not tied to rosters have a tendency to put in more hours overall and it feels that there is a greater flexibility afforded us, and we are generally thinking about work when we aren't working.
