What’s it like working at Followmont Transport?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees consistently praise the family-oriented culture at Followmont Transport, highlighting the genuine sense of inclusion and warmth they experience from day one. Management is supportive and accessible, with an open door policy extending to senior leadership, and colleagues are friendly and respectful, creating a positive working environment. The company offers opportunities for career growth as it expands into new areas, and employees appreciate the monthly BBQs and recognition programmes that acknowledge their hard work. Additionally, the company maintains a modern, well-serviced fleet of vehicles and equipment.

However, there are some potential challenges to consider. The fast-paced and dynamic nature of the transport industry can create stress and requires employees to be willing to work hard, particularly during busy periods when workload and hours can be demanding. Some employees have noted that pay rates may not fully align with the cost of living for those not working additional hours. Communication between management and staff can sometimes be slow, and training could be more comprehensive, particularly during onboarding.

Shorter than l had anticipated, l would have loved to have stayed. The hours were good.
The good thingsThe staff are friendly enough
The challengesThere was no one to teach me how to use the scanner completely. That was the only reason l left. Oh and the fact that l kept asking for help with the scanner the floor supervisor became unapproachable.
