What’s it like working at Greyhound Racing SA?

    AI summary of recent reviews

The opportunity to work with beautiful greyhounds is consistently highlighted as the most rewarding aspect of working at Greyhound Racing SA. Employees also value their supportive colleagues who share a passion for improving the lives of the greyhounds. Additional benefits such as free coffee, staff discounts, and work-life balance are appreciated by staff.

The good thingsWorking to make a difference in the lives of the beautiful greyhounds. The team were also lovely to work with and the free coffee was an added perk!
The challengesUpper management needs to go. Every at the bottom of the ladder tried to make a difference but those at the top would rather bury their heads in the sand.

It started well, but slowly turned into a downward spiral.
The good thingsThe dogs are amazing and always love the attention! Some staff members really wanted to improve the lives of the greyhounds.
The challengesSenior Management. They prioritise the wrong things and only want yes men or personal assistants around, unless you're in their inner circle. They're only interested in ticking boxes for the Government Inquiry.

I Witness the downfall of integrity and professionalism.
The good thingsThere is some staff members that really want to make a difference to improve the life’s of the greyhounds, these people where amazing to work with. Also being around greyhounds is wonderful.
The challengesDue to poor management and the conditions of working for GRSA, have lead to most of the great people leaving, leaving unfulfillable gaps within the workplace. The integrity of the industry needs to improve by the removal of the trainers that don’t align with the best interests of the greyhounds. It’s quite traumatic to see that systematically the automatic response to focus on profits over the welfare of the greyhounds, leading to my and many other so resign from GRSA.
