A disappointing experience, but the LinkedIn courses were great. The good thingsTeam members were great, and I enjoyed collaboration. Being able to work from home until last year.
As a growing company, there were lots of opportunities to learn new things. There was encouragement from middle managers to grow and develop with the idea being to improve many of the things everyone knew was inefficient. Unfortunately, that mindset dwindled in the last year I was there.
The challengesUpper management were chaotic and too interested in office politics. You can waste weeks of time working on something for one of them, only for them to forget they'd demanded it be done.
Projects would get started, stall, cancelled, then start again, cancelled, etc. I felt no one was at the wheel and there were too many cooks trying to get into the kitchen. In absolute seriousness, you could get more achieved by simply doing nothing.
Immediate manager aside, you never really feel valued or that you're accomplishing anything either. A confusing and chaotic experience, to be honest.
It's disappointing because there (were) people who had genuine passion for improvement and growth, but they're often pushed away by upper management. Total headscratcher.
