What’s it like working at King's Christian College?

    AI summary of recent reviews

King's Christian College stands out for its supportive and encouraging environment, with both management and colleagues contributing to a positive workplace culture. The school demonstrates a strong commitment to professional development, provides excellent resources, and offers good work-life balance with beneficial arrangements for working parents. The Christ-centered community and positive student culture create a fulfilling work environment.

Some challenges include managing frequent yearly changes and initiatives that aren't always fully developed, along with a busy work environment that can impact non-contact periods, particularly during campus establishment phases. While compensation might be lower for some skilled professionals without teaching qualifications, this is often offset by the positive work-life benefits and supportive environment.

King's Christian College is a thriving community of excellence with Christ at the centre.
The good thingsI've worked in two of the three campuses and have loved every minute! They are supportive and encouraging. King's values high quality education. The resourcing is excellent. The parent community is thriving and overwhelmingly happy.
The challengesFor me personally working to a curriculum plan that was already mapped out was a challenge, as I didn't initially feel like I had ownership, but once I realised it included high quality content and is contextualised to each campus' needs, I quickly adapted. Unfortunately I've lost many release (Non-contact/DOTT) periods and they're very rarely replaced - but this worse in the establishing years of a campus, generally staff efforts are well appreciated!
