What’s it like working at Liberty Industrial?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees appreciate working with their colleagues at Liberty Industrial, noting that site teams and workmates are generally a great group of people who are open to sharing their experience and insights. The projects provide valuable exposure to major oil and gas clients and large, complex work in interesting locations with industrial-scale equipment. Additionally, Liberty Industrial has a strong reputation in the demolition market.

However, there are some potential challenges, including management practices that focus on short-term profit, internal politics with favouritism influencing decision-making, and pay and recognition that may not always reflect industry standards or individual contributions. Some employees have also noted limited investment in professional development, particularly for engineers, and communication between head office and field teams could be improved to provide better support and understanding of field requirements.

    Glad my contract ended early.
The good thingsInteracting with other professionals outside of Liberty Industrial
The challengesThe potential for this company to succeed in retaining good and ethical workers exist, however it is merely impossible dealing with office based management. There is a major focus on profits over people, with their end game being money in their account. Pay is well below industry average. The Dunning-Kruger effect is extremely evident within the corporate management team. Despite the potential for ongoing work, once my contract finished, I ran and found a career, not a job.

Management games, broken promises, and zero professional development for engineers.
The good thingsExposure to major oil and gas clients and large, complex projects that can look good on a CV. No engineering involved
The challengesThis is not a company for engineers, as leadership is almost entirely focused on operators and short‑term profit. There are unfair practices around pay and working hours for white-collar employees, with little transparency or accountability. The business looks good on paper, but the reality on the ground does not match the promises made in interviews or internal communications. Salary reviews and recognition do not reflect your contribution, and management relies on empty promises rather than concrete action until you signal that you are leaving. There is no investment in engineer professional development—no training, mentorship, or support for certifications or career growth. You better of somewhere else
