Extremely exhausting and more difficult than it should ever have to be
The good thingsThere are many good people working harder than they should need to, under extremely difficult and combative management. The goal of the organisation is an extremely ambitious and altruistic one, and one that can give a real sense of purpose.
The challengesMisaligned management styles and legacy decision-making allows for consistently poor communication on role clarity, key deliverables, and general career satisfaction. There is general disinterest from management in fostering career growth, and staff are almost always facing day-to-day consequences in their work for shortsighted and poorly made decisions from leadership.
