A memorable and rewarding retail experience
The good thingsWorking at Nike was such a positive and memorable chapter for me. I felt welcomed into a team that was supportive, friendly and full of great energy. The culture truly felt like a community rather than just a workplace. I learned so much during my time here, not only about product knowledge and customer service, but also about teamwork, communication and confidence in a fast-paced environment. Every shift was different and engaging, and I always felt proud to represent a brand with such strong values and standards. I have honestly never felt so proud to work for a brand, believe in what it stands for, and I know I will always be a supporter of Nike. The people I worked alongside made the experience what it was. I always felt supported by both my teammates and leaders.
The challengesThe main challenge for me was the lack of consistent hours as a casual team member. At times this made it difficult to maintain routine and financial stability. However, this was never a reflection of the store team themselves.

A store that had great potential...
The good thingsUniform allowance, employee discount policy, Break room facilities and the friends you make along the way.
The challengesWas really disappointed to see strong staff members leave due to lack of internal progression. Was disappointed seeing the treatment of one very good worker on their last day. The leadership team have dropped the ball, alot of favoritism. Can't blame the high turn over on the staff when management themselves don't let team members progress.

A supportive team environment with great perks and friendships, but hindered by workplace drama.
The good thingsBuilding good friendships, team member discounts, uniform allowance twice a year, and break room facilities.
The challengesLeadership team could provide more growth opportunities, a lot of workplace drama, favouritism and no consideration of our mental wellbeing.
