What’s it like working at Peach Tree Perinatal Wellness?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees consistently praise the welcoming and supportive team culture at Peach Tree Perinatal Wellness, highlighting the genuine flexibility offered through part-time work, work from home arrangements, and understanding around parenting responsibilities. The leadership team is described as supportive, responsive to feedback, and strong advocates for both lived-experience workforce and family priorities. Staff appreciate the personal development opportunities, career progression, and the authentic organisational values that are embedded into daily practice. The meaningful community services provided by the organisation are also valued by employees.

However, there are some potential challenges, including budgeting constraints typical of non-profit organisations that can stretch resources at times. As a small, growing company, policies and procedures are still being developed, though employees note that this was communicated transparently and progress is being made. There has also been some turnover in regional leadership positions, with two regional leaders departing within a short timeframe.

Excellent place to work - inclusive, kind, authentic culture with genuine values alignment
The good thingsI absolutely love working at Peach Tree - from the moment I started, I felt so welcomed into the team, and I still feel that welcoming vibe years later. Peach Tree has offered me the space to be my authentic self, lean into vulnerability and courage, while supporting our participants. They have provided me lots of personal development and training opportunities, and career progression. The leadership team are supportive, and genuinely listen to feedback and implement where possible, even if this is not immediate. The organisational values are genuine and embedded into our practice and overall workplace. One of the best things about working for Peach Tree is the understanding of having children and the flexibility we are offered around being parents, as well as professionals, which is not always considered at other workplaces.
The challengesChallenges are that like many non for profit, we are limited to budgeting constraints due to funding. We are a small company, that are still developing our policies and procedures, which was very transparently explained to me when I interviewed. I have seen so much progress in this space in the short time I have been here.
Zoe - HR OfficerWe are so grateful for your lovely feedback! It’s wonderful to hear that Peach Tree feels welcoming, supportive, and a place where you can be your authentic self. We also appreciate your recognition of the challenges we face as a small non-profit, and your encouragement about the progress we’re making. Feedback like yours inspires us to keep growing and creating a workplace that is inclusive, compassionate, and open to learning and adapting. Thank you for being part of our journey!

Not enough resources for strong leadership that can support and develop you. Operationally lacking.
The good thingsFantastic services that are highly needed in our community. The team in Cairns is wonderful.
The challengesThe operations and leadership abilities of upper management were poor. Losing two regional leaders within 3 months.
Zoe - HR OfficerThank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for recognising the value of our services and the strength of our Cairns team. Reflective practice is central to Peach Tree, and we value hearing from current and former team members. As Peach Tree has grown significantly over the past year, we have navigated periods of change and transition. Throughout this time, our focus has been on strengthening leadership capability, operational foundations, and meaningful support for our team. We are intentional about continuous improvement and remain committed to listening, learning, and evolving. If you’re open to further conversation, please contact me at [email protected].

As a new mum returning to part-time work, I was genuinely relieved and grateful to find that Peach Tree truly lives up to its promise of flexibility and support.
The good thingsGenuine flexibility to work part-time; ability to work from home in my role; a lovely, supportive team built on shared lived experience; openness to change and a willingness to grow and try new things; a leadership team who are strong advocates for a lived-experience workforce and support the belief that family comes first.
The challengesAs is common in the non-profit sector, resources can be stretched at times, but this is met with a strong commitment to making the most of what’s available.
Zoe - HR OfficerThank you for sharing your experience! We’re so happy to hear you’re enjoying being part of the Peach Tree team :)
