OTR has killed this job. I expect stores to be sold off and majority of staff will leave.
The good thingsSome staff members are hard working and fun.
The challengesEver since OTR took over and changed EVERYTHING, the job has become unbearable. Staff don’t care, area managers and the pen pushers at head office have no idea and loyal customers are not returning as new shops are terrible.

The good thingsGreat regular customers, most team members are hard workers
The challengesWas a good company to work for until Viva took control, then it went down hill FAST.
If you had a good manager who cared about staff they were moved on without a choice and they were replaced with managers who only care about pleasing the overbearing Area managers.
They cut hours at the stores and expect you to do more work, in a shorter time frame while alone 99% of the time. If you didn't get everything done they demanded you are raked over the coals. Basically expected to be a robot.

The good thingsI was lucky to have a friendly manager, a kind man and generally good workmates and also cheery regular customers
Sunday pay rate only, is good
The challengesWorking 7.5 hours with no break.
Corporate doesn’t seem to hear us or care. Can’t get broken things replaced or fixed. Takes weeks for urgent things to be fixed. Still have cameras they won’t fix and a screen on a till and a slushy machine that hasn’t worked for lover two years!
They send us more and more duties to complete that seem a ridiculous waste of time.
No training with new system that had so many glitches.
