What’s it like working at Royal Adelaide Hospital?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at the Royal Adelaide Hospital appreciate the supportive teamwork and friendly colleagues, as well as the opportunities for learning and development through programs like the graduate nurse program and exposure to specialised areas. They find the work challenging but rewarding, particularly in caring for patients and making a meaningful contribution. The benefits and pay, including decent government benefits and wages, are also seen as positive aspects.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as issues with management support and perceived disconnect from frontline staff, heavy workloads and resource restrictions that can make it challenging to provide adequate care, as well as staffing deficits and low morale, particularly during the transition to the new hospital.

Poor management, the worst shift pattern I’ve ever known, selfish work force but good money.
The good thingsGood wages and clean environment
The challengesPoor management and a complaining workforce lead to a bbq lot of lazy people not doing the job they are employed to do and relying on a few conscientious techs to pick up the slack. Management turn a blind eye as it’s too difficult to deal with and after all the work is getting done.
