Good people, Good work culture.The good thingsI have been working with Schnitz for 8+ years, working in a store and now at the Support office. The culture around work has always been a main highlight at Schnitz as everyone supports one another in any way possible and everyone works together as a family. The business always focuses on it's 4 core values; Compassion, Family, Integrity, Quality and it's reflected on their employees and the work culture. As mentioned, I started my journey with Schnitz as a Team Member at a Restaurant and I was given the opportunity to explore my career options at the Support office. There are amazing opportunities within the business if anyone would like to progress further in their role/career.
The challengesThe day to day tasks working in a restaurant can be challenging which are common in the hospitality industry (eg: difficult situations with customers etc.) but I believe it's part of learning. In saying that, if there ever was an uncomfortable situation the managers would always be open to discuss and resolve any challenges.
Working in Support office - The only challenge so far would be the daily commute but the business has flexible work arrangements which helps tremendously.
