I found my work satisfying, but the culture within admin/management is toxic. I was happy to leave.
The good thingsI enjoyed the staff that I worked with and helping students was very enjoyable and satisfying.
The challengesManagement/admin. is very top heavy and they do not listen to, or value their employees. HR was dreadful, they did not investigate issues or follow up with staff when an incident occurred. Management/admin. is full of tight cliques. Fine if you are in the inner circle, if not, then you will be treated differently and not supported. I did not feel respected in my role and felt that the workplace was very toxic. There are a lot of unhappy staff members and widespread disharmony within departments. It wasn't until I left St. Rita's and started at a new workplace that I realised how much St. Rita's did not support or value the contribution made by their staff. It was being treated with respect and consideration at my new workplace that showed me just how poorly St. Rita's treated it's staff.

Not a great culture. Leadership team is toxic and thrive on backstabbing staff who make progress.
The good thingsThe students are mostly lovely.
The challengesBoard intervention to expenditure. Not nearly enough to teaching resources, but heaps to admin.
