Employees at the State Library of NSW appreciate the flexible work arrangements and positive work environment with lovely colleagues. They find the work itself enjoyable, particularly contributing to cultural heritage collections in an amazing location. However, some potential challenges were noted, including management issues such as inconsistency, long tenures leading to resistance to change, and humiliating behaviour. A few employees felt opportunities for career progression and training were limited. Additionally, working within government guidelines was mentioned as a potential challenge.
