What’s it like working at Adelaide Festival Centre?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Adelaide Festival Centre offers employees a diverse and inclusive work environment with friendly colleagues and the opportunity to be part of Adelaide's vibrant arts and theatre scene. The organisation provides decent hourly rates, good award conditions, and benefits from a central CBD location with ongoing infrastructure investments.

However, employees have noted some operational challenges, including management being disconnected from staff needs and departmental operations. The organisation structure tends to create silos between departments, limiting interdepartmental collaboration. Some staff members also report demanding workloads with limited recognition for their efforts.

    Big egos, small opportunities
The good thingsFull time work in the arts industry in Adelaide. Seeing great shows, and working with talented artists.
The challengesThe office environment was very negative, including the physical environment - particularly the dark and dingy workspace underneath the centre. Management has an unrealistic view of patrons wants and are out of touch. Staff under appreciated. HR unhelpful when issues brought to their attention.
