What’s it like working at Sunshine Coast University Hospital?

    AI summary of recent reviews

The Sunshine Coast University Hospital offers several positive aspects, including helpful supervisors who provide additional support and training opportunities. Employees appreciate the chance to work with friendly colleagues in a modern facility with an excellent location. The environment allows for meaningful patient care experiences and professional connections.

However, there are areas that could benefit from improvement, particularly around clinical management organisation and decision-making processes. The hospital faces challenges with workplace dynamics between different staff roles, and there appears to be some resistance to change and new ideas among established staff members.

Like everywhere, there are ups and downs but the amount of toxic staff that are putting others down makes it an extremely hard place to work.
The good thingsSupervisors in my experience were always happy to help you and give you extra buddy shifts if you felt overwhelmed with the size of Hospital and not confident with it. you get to meet so many awesome people while working at the hospital
The challengesThe hospital has an extremely toxic staff team, if the wards main crew didn't like you then they would make it their personal mission to never have you working in their ward again, everyone has a problem with someone, at times staff that assigned to teach buddies typically ditch their buddies and they get sent to work with someone completely different (happened to me in emergency) a big level of favourism where favourites and family members get priority over others
