My experience at the Victorian Rehabilitation Centre was negative due to high workload pressures, unprofessional management practices, and a toxic, unsupportive work environment.
The good thingsUnfortunately, I did not have any positive experiences and have truly never worked at a place like this before.
The challengesBased on my experience, I would not recommend working at the Victorian Rehabilitation Centre, particularly as an administrative staff member. The workload and pressure were quite high, with expectations to complete all tasks without sufficient support. Unfortunately, my experience with the management staff was negative; they were unsupportive and exhibited unprofessional behaviour that created a difficult work environment. Additionally, there were several unprofessional practices, such as last-minute shift changes, alterations to clock-out times and favouritism toward certain staff members. The work environment was toxic, with management often speaking negatively about employees behind their backs (particularly in the outpatients department), creating a culture of distrust.
