The good thingsThere are some great people who work here. Work life balance, if you work in the right team - its not offered to everyone
The challengesManagement doesn't know how to manage! A few good leaders, but unfortunately most aren't. HR is the most toxic team Ive ever seen

The good thingsA number of good people to work with.
The challengesAntiquated systems. Toxic work environment and culture: need to be in the right cliques. Meritocracy is frowned upon. Salaries lowest in Victoria.

Absolutely what you'd expect from local government, a massive waste.
The good thingsSome people were great!.
The challengesMost people are rude, entitled and seem to think they're above others while working for a council. Most managers are slimey and untrustworthy, talk about employees behind their back, and encourage a poor environment. HR is probably one of the worst departments I've ever encountered!
