What’s it like working at Western Sydney Primary Health Network?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Western Sydney Primary Health Network feel they are making a positive impact on the health of communities in Western Sydney. They appreciate the excellent work culture, with friendly, collaborative, and engaged colleagues focused on achieving quality results. The flexible work-life balance and opportunities for career development under a proactive management are also valued, along with staff benefits such as salary packaging.

However, as a not-for-profit organisation, remuneration can be a challenge, with mid-range salaries compared to the private sector and limited opportunities for pay rises. Being government-funded and not-for-profit can also lead to tight budgets and contractual employment, creating uncertainty at times. Due to budget constraints, the organisation can be understaffed, leading to a heavy workload for employees. Additionally, the environment is extremely busy due to constant changes and system reforms, which can be challenging to navigate.

    I wish I resigned sooner
The good thingsModern offices, the feelings of making a positive impact on the health of communities.
The challengesTerrible career progression - senior staff promise career progression for years but never deliver. Junior staff are not respected. Very low salary with no opportunity for pay rises (the maximum pay rise allowed is 3% per year). Senior management is very short sighted no long-term vision for the company.
