This program covers the structure, biochemical and physiological function of the mammalian body and processes leading to disease. Core first year subjects include chemistry, introductory biochemistry and microbiology, biomedicine, introductory anatomy, and health care in Australia. Second year subjects include biochemistry and cell regulation, epidemiology, microbial diversity, introductory infectious diseases and immunobiology, physiology, and molecular genetics. Third year study includes advanced physiology, genes, genomes and development, and clinical microbiology.
