Student review
As a mature student this was the best place to do my academic studies, I went through stage 3 cancer and the University was amazing and supportive during such adversity. In 4 years I did a degree and I beat cancer and I do owe a lot to the support from all the staff on board to help me cross the line. I am for ever grateful for all the staff that taught me. I know have a Bachelor of Social welfare and it was an amazing degree to study. I am now a teacher for a RTO and I teach certificate III in Individual support and love my job so much, I have walked into a job that pays so well and I get to inspire adults in their future career just like I was inspired by my University professors and tutors. The inspiration is a flow on effect. I would never have gotten that job without my degree. If I can do it anyone can. There is a social stigma that you have to be intelligent to be at university but that’s not it at all, you have to be organised, reach out for help and get in good routines. I absolutely enjoyed the content and the whole university experience. I am now moving on to a post graduate certificate in 2024.
