This program prepares students to work as electrical engineers that design, develop and supervise the manufacture, installation, and operation of electrical systems providing efficient electrical power solutions. Electrical engineers work on generation, distribution, utilisation and control of electric power and electronic systems to many industries including the electrical supply, transportation, manufacturing and defence sectors. It combines hands-on laboratory work with classes that teach concepts, theories and principles of engineering. Students will also learn communication, teamwork, problem solving and decision making skills to prepare them for the move into industry as professional engineers.
