The teachers were great. They will teach you based on what they’ve actually experience on field and establish a scenario where you could relate what they are teaching to better understand what is happening to a patient with different kinds of illnesses. Lectures goes as a group work and you need to be prepared everytime for you to relate with the topic. However, there were times that students would not respond right away to questions asked by teachers. The group activity could be more interactive if lecturers allocates certain parts of the lesson to be discussed by the group. It can help students in getting a birds eye view on the topic and at the same time provides a piece by piece understanding of the disease and encourages more interaction.

Most of the course content was of high quality. The lecturers were excellent, but some tutors can be hit-and-miss. The clinical placement component was a very important part of the course, however, it wasn't always well coordinated for students. I had to travel 2hrs one-way on public transport at 5 am during some placements whilst working on 2-3 assignment, which was extremely exhausting & stressful.

The course was great and what I expected, but I wouldn’t do it online, there is not enough support offered from the academics. The portal wasn’t easy to use when you have not been a Deakin student in the past
