Why study this course

This program places a heavy emphasis on developing both research and professional skills including a deep understanding of the ethical principles that inform psychological practice. In each semester, students will be involved in research projects and in activities that foster psychological professional skills. Students pick up plenty of practical experience in a supportive environment. Start out doing placements in second year and clock up further hours in third year. Psychology can be a challenging profession, but by the end of the degree graduates will have had exposure to treatment regimes and will have had experience in the administration psychological tests.

Student review
As a 55 year old commencing University for the first time, I was all at sea for a while, but fellow classmates and the Lecturing staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and my age was no barrier, experience in the world balanced very well with my study tasks. I felt I belonged.
