Studied to qualify my 19 years of policing experience after retirement as police then gave no formal qualification. Obtained employment in the aged care industry as a lifestyle assistant. Thank you

Delivery was good although I felt a little rushed. I think that we really needed to be out and see more real life cases/scenarios and behind the scenes of how organisations actually work, apart from one or two placements/hours. I applied for several job positions soon after and had not been chosen from lack of experience, in which I felt highly disappointed.

It was a great course, great balance of theory and practical work a good hands-on experience during practical work and the teachers were great in how they delivered the teaching of the units of the course and both theory and practical were clearly explained both verbally and written when we did theory. Unfortunately, the only reason I partially completed the course was because it wasn't for me. I was doing it because other people wanted me too and left close to the end of the course. But this year in 2018 I am considering going back because I want to finish it and get a job in the industry.

Having had class only 1 day a week is not enough time to academically learn the required material of the course. Would have been better to have had 3 days maximum of in class theory to learn the material.

They have very qualified teachers who had a lot of experience within the industry and could give us a insight to what it is actually like , I found it refreshing hearing about what could go wrong on site and what makes the job rewarding.

Teachers weren’t interactive, don’t remember many of the subjects or course content. Only practical work was on placement.
