Tasks and duties
- Developing and implementing systems and procedures that enable tradespeople and employees to carry out their tasks in the most efficient way.
- Evaluating hazards, controlling risks and undertaking regular inspections of systems and equipment.
- Arranging preventative maintenance of machinery as required.
- Working closely with senior management and stakeholders to ensure a safe and efficient operation of the site.
- Maintaining accurate records.
How to become a Site Supervisor
Site Supervisors are usually individuals with trade qualifications who have worked in settings such as residential, commercial or industrial worksites. They have strong technical knowledge as well as leadership abilities.
- 1.Most Site Supervisors begin as entry-level tradespeople in the building and construction industry. It’s imperative to have your White Card, before you start to gather more experience by seeking out increasing responsibility at your worksite.
- 2.Site Supervisors who have qualifications in management are usually highly regarded by employers. Undertake and complete management qualifications, such as a Diploma of Building and Construction (Management) (CPC50320) or a Bachelor of Construction Management.
