Employees at Achieve Australia consistently highlight that working with clients is the most rewarding aspect of their role, noting that clients are amazing people who deserve quality support. Many reviewers appreciate their dedicated frontline colleagues who work hard and care deeply about the team and the meaningful nature of the work in supporting people with disabilities. Some employees also mention good benefits such as above award wages and fitness passport memberships.

However, there are some potential challenges to consider. Many employees indicate that management practices could be enhanced, particularly in areas of communication, support for frontline staff, and leadership development. Reviewers note high staff turnover, especially among senior leadership and nursing staff, which has impacted organisational stability. Additionally, ongoing restructures and changes in both the sector and organisation have created periods of adjustment, and some frontline workers note that staffing ratios can be challenging at times.

An inspiring journey full of joy, adventure, with twists and turns against a background of continuous change, where my beliefs in social justice and inclusion were tested against commercial pragmatism and market uncertainty.
The good thingsHaving the skills and executive support to create and grow a newly merged brand in the sector that was and has been very dynamic, competitive and transformational.
The challengesAdjusting and refining the brand to take into account continuous changes and rules in the sector. Aligning creative strategy to attract and maintain a loyal client base who are often marginalised, or dealt with unfairly by changes to regulation and plans. The challenge was to grow the business with this uncertainty in the market place by developing services and supports that strengthened the brand positioning and bottom line. Keeping a high profile in the digital media through effective planning, comms and brand awareness was essential.
