What’s it like working at breakthru?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Breakthru employees consistently praise the supportive team culture among colleagues, particularly at the frontline level. The organisation offers flexible working arrangements and many find the work with clients highly rewarding. Staff appreciate the opportunities for career development when they show initiative, and value the chance to make a meaningful difference in their community.

However, there are several areas identified for improvement. Staff members note that salaries are below industry standards, and there are concerns about leadership support and communication. The workload can be demanding with high caseloads and competing priorities. Additionally, operating within tight NDIS budgets and limited resources creates operational challenges for service delivery.

The good thingsAmazing team culture, always looking for collaboration opportunities and how best to support colleagues across the network! There is a great sense for quality within the team, supporting each other to do better and provide great services.
The challengesFunding challenges within the NDIS framework prove to be a challenge for operations, however Breakthru along with the support from the Royal Rehab Group is well positioned to navigate these obstacles in the years to come.

Overall, the lack of respect, appreciation, and inclusivity has created a toxic culture that pushes people down instead of lifting them up.
The good things Nothing , no Mangment hard on staff they use you
The challengesWhat I don’t like about my workplace is the lack of inclusivity and respect. The environment feels as if only “Oz people” are truly valued, while others are treated as less important. This creates division instead of teamwork. Staff members are not respected or appreciated for the effort they put in. No matter how much work you do or how hard you try, it often goes unnoticed. There’s little recognition, which makes it hard to stay motivated. On top of that, managers can be very mean in the way they speak and act. Instead of supporting staff and encouraging them, they often come across as harsh and unkind. This affects morale and creates a toxic atmosphere. Overall, the workplace culture needs serious improvement in respect, appreciation, and fair treatment for everyone.
