What’s it like working at Capri by Fraser?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Capri by Fraser appreciate the friendly and supportive colleagues who are willing to help each other, creating a positive team environment. Many value the caring and supportive managers who assist with scheduling needs and provide development opportunities. The team culture is strong, with good bonding events and a close-knit atmosphere, and there is a high work ethic across the team with everyone working well together to achieve results.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as limited opportunities for career progression due to the small team size, which may depend on timing. The workload can be demanding, with expectations to work extended hours and consecutive days, particularly during busy periods. Some employees have noted that training and staffing levels could be improved, and a few have indicated that recognition for work and perks could be enhanced.

It was alright, I would have stayed longer had the issues not built up unfortunately.
The good thingsI enjoyed how most of my colleagues were very supportive and kind. Quite inclusive and has structure but needs improvement. I do believe the management when I began was fantastic and it was a positive and uplifting experience.
The challengesThere is a lot of bias and favouritism that happens, and a lot of gossip and microaggressions that made it really uncomfortable. A lot of offensive and gossipy things said by management have been played off as jokes, and it can be very difficult to fit in if you're uncomfortable with this behaviour and not part of their 'family'. It just feels like management needs a bit more training on being inclusive and respectful, giving feedback with support and solution. The training is also very lackluster so it was like being thrown in at the deep end. Any time these issues would be brought up, and even significant issues would not really be looked at. I feel there's a huge disconnect and there needs more communication and support. I feel like if you are a manager here, you're either under a lot of pressure and stress, or let off very easy with every mistake you make/issue you have.

Good team, friendly for people who work first-time.
The good thingsEven the team is small. But they are good people and everyone there is all willing to offer help.
The challengesEveryone works very stably, and the working environment is friendly for pr and whv people. If you are looking for a job opportunity and want to be promoted, it may be a little difficult in this hotel.

The challengessmallish team so in terms of opportunities its a bit "right time, right place" but everyone works well together overall and I got uptrained without any openings that allowed me to progress into the next role with a different hotel
