    Rampant health and safety hazards with concerning rostering principles.
    The good thingsI have worked in multiple customer service roles and passengers (by comparison) are not as difficult to deal with. This is an active role so it will keep you physically fit, and interacting with people from all over the world keeps you quite engaged and alert. It truly has the potential to be a balanced and fulfilling role if management allocated their resources properly and perhaps considered a more professional provider for their casual staff.
    The challengesEquipment is not only scarce but poorly maintained. Passengers with less obvious mobility issues who have booked services are forced to walk long distances or carry their own luggage due to a ridiculous shortage of staff and wheelchairs. Staff try their best with the limited equipment but receive zero support from management. Risking your physical health and the potential injury of passengers is not worth it, and as such, many move on from this role fairly quickly. The few long standing staff that remain are personalities that would not be hired or tolerated elsewhere. Rosters are released on a daily basis over a social media messaging platform - so you best not be working or engaged between the hours of 1-3pm if you want to secure a shift for the following day.
