What’s it like working at Findex?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Findex value the flexibility offered through work from home options and the compressed work week, which provides every second Friday off and supports work/life balance. The career progression opportunities are excellent, with clear pathways for growth across various service lines, and many employees appreciate the supportive team environment where colleagues genuinely care about one another. The company culture is frequently praised for its family business feeling, transparent direction, and commitment to improvement, whilst senior leaders are noted for being welcoming, respectful, and generous with their time.

However, there are some potential challenges to consider. Management approaches can vary across different offices and teams, with experiences ranging from strong support to micromanagement. Some employees have noted that salary levels may not always meet market expectations, and there are concerns about remuneration transparency. Workload can be demanding at times, with tight budgets and high productivity expectations that may require additional hours during busy periods. As the organisation undergoes growth and restructuring, change management processes could benefit from improvement, and navigating systems and processes across the large organisation can be challenging. Additionally, staff turnover in some areas has created challenges with building consistent relationships.

The good thingsFindex as a corporate company, and my prior manager supported me where needed. The partners always made a point of catching up and greeting when they came into the office to attend to their meetings.
The challengesBeing a small office you tend to feel very isolated as Front of House Role. I found it difficult to get along with certain personalities within the office, and although I did try my best, it was for my best interest mentally to rather resign and seek other employment.

The nice office is very appealing but look elsewhere.
The good thingsThe building is nice. Administrative support from the East Coast is great.
The challengesNot a good experience. Managers are odd; more fixated on the fact they provide office snacks than actually providing training, which they think makes the company special. Passive aggressive comments made if you don't know something you literally haven't been shown yet. Sulking when employees resign and refusing to acknowledge or speak to them. The processes are ridiculous - literally needing to stat every task completed, even if it takes two minutes. Far too many systems are used. Hot desking is outdated and inefficient.

If you have other options then take them.
The good thingsMy immediate reports being based in Sydney/ Melbourne.
The challengesInexperienced senior management. An unsupportive environment. Junior administration staff with too much authority.
