    Kangaroo Island is located 13.5 kilometres from the mainland at its closest point. It encompasses an area of 4,400 square kilometres and has a resident population of approximately 4,500. The Council is responsible for the management of 1,100 kilometres of unsealed roads and 250 kilometres of sealed roads. The Island enjoys approx. 200,000 visitors each year, which is steadily increasing.Our Council of Elected Members comprises the Mayor and eight councillors.     Don't do it until a new CEO is appointed and a new executive team is in place.
    The good thingsThe staff are nice - it is a friendly environment
    The challengesThe management. The worst Executive team I have ever seen, completely unable to make decisions. It is management by crisis and the mantra is "We have always done it this way."
