The Bank of China was designated as a licensed specialized bank for international trade and foreign exchange thereafter. I had wonderful supervisor which help me with development in Mega ICBC, and later moved to local bank. Very hard to survive if you living is depending on this salary.
The good thingsGood place to start Banking career.
The challengesCurrent General Manager has issue of Micromanagement, constantly watch you over CCTV in front of his desk. Apparently eating snack at work are prohibited, approval needed from head of Admin. Very low pay with very limit of increase every year, salary for every role there falls below benchmark.

The good thingsSeveral years at Mega ICBC, I have had mostly positive experiences.
Good working environment, the staff are friendly and caring.
With the relatively smaller branch size, there is lots of opportunity for loan officer to learn from loan application, credit analysis and towards settlement.
The challengesThe initial salary package is slightly below market rate.However, there is promotion and remuneration opportunity if the employee achieve the work expectation.
