What’s it like working at Metro Trains Melbourne?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Metro Trains Melbourne offers several positive aspects including competitive compensation with good wages and free public transport passes. Employees appreciate working with diverse and friendly colleagues in a team-oriented environment, while enjoying flexible working arrangements and job security within the growing Melbourne train system.

However, there are areas for improvement, particularly regarding management practices and communication. The complex organisational structure can create challenges in accountability and change implementation. All Plans, No ProgressThere’s a dangerous pattern emerging: endless strategy, constant reshuffles, and political games at the top - while the people who actually run this network are left with scraps. We’re burning goodwill fast. Our frontline teams show up, deliver, and go above and beyond - but get little in return. Development is stalled, engagement is low, and trust in leadership is eroding. It’s time for executives to stop circling the issues and start owning the outcomes. Talk is cheap. Our people deserve investment, clarity, and real leadership - not another restructure, rebrand, or roadmap to nowhere. Bottom line - it's time for a change of leadership.
