What’s it like working at SAE Creative Media Institute?

    AI summary of recent reviews

SAE Creative Media Institute stands out for its exceptional workplace culture and supportive environment, where passionate staff work together to deliver quality education. The institution benefits from first-class facilities, industry-experienced teachers, and a genuine commitment to student development. The creative atmosphere and collaborative spirit among colleagues create an engaging workplace environment.

However, employees face certain challenges, including below-average compensation and limited opportunities for pay increases. The fast-paced environment and intensive workload require constant adaptation, while communication from upper management regarding strategic decisions could be enhanced. Career progression opportunities may be limited, particularly for those at local campuses.

    A management induced deathspiral.
The good thingsStudents and your peers in the teaching and support staff are wonderful. Courses are built with care and intent to give students plenty of opportunities to grow creatively. Industry experts teach the classes, meaning it's a good entry point to a teaching career from a creative field.
The challengesPoor decisions by management that lead to easily avoided issues if they would just speak with or listen to staff. These problems then become the responsibility of staff to fix because management lack any long term plan. Workloads are intensive and progression is reliant more on your time in the business than your contributions or performance.

The best company culture I have ever worked in. I can honestly say I look forward to going to work everyday.
The challengesPay is fair, but a performance based pay increase is difficult to attain without a promotion.
