    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at SSP Australia particularly value their friendly and supportive co-workers, especially among front-of-house staff. The company is noted for providing good benefits and competitive pay packages to their employees.

However, there are several areas where improvements could be made. The company faces challenges with management support and communication, while staffing levels are frequently reported as insufficient across locations. Employees also note limited career progression opportunities and mentorship. The fast-paced airport environment can be demanding, with staff often managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Great job (if you enjoy exploitation)
The good thingsCo-Workers are friendly, decent pay
The challengesIncompetent and unfair managers. Absolutely 0 opportunity for growth. Your higher-ups DO NOT care for you, they WILL turn a blind eye to exploitation of authority. Actually sticking up for yourself will mean getting punished in most situations, and there is no opportunity to raise yourself up within the company so that you can try to alleviate the situation. Many customers are stressed out due to the nature of the airport and how expensive it is to travel. They will take it out on you, be prepared for criticism that is outside your control.

such a toxic environment. you also get paid wrong all the time
The good thingsWhen I got to leave. I used to pray I'd break my leg so I wouldnt have to work. such a toxic environment oh my god. work here if u want to be depressed and anxious at all times.
The challengesManagers were not supportive, often made you work at times you have continuously told them you cant do and then make you work it. Raised prices without letting workers know so you'd have to cop all the complaints while they did nothing. Managers were actually horrible, assumed you'd stay back after your shift and then made u feel bad for not staying back even though its their fault for not properly staffing. You'd be forced to work by yourself during insanely high busy periods and then managers would get mad if a table wasn't clear when you were busy pouring drinks, making coffee, running food all single handedly. did not take care of staff at all which is why they are consistently hiring... they cannot keep anyone!!!!! Were extremely strict on calling in, you'd have to give six hours notice and even if you did they would test you to make sure you werent lying, not wish you better and then talk badly about you to other staff members! DO NOT RECCOMEND AT ALL!!!
