What’s it like working at Transurban Group?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees appreciate the modern office facilities and excellent location, along with above-market compensation and benefits that include performance bonuses, share distribution, and comprehensive leave policies. The flexible working arrangements support work/life balance, and many note that colleagues are helpful and supportive, particularly within project delivery teams. Additionally, the company provides modern technologies and resources, with high levels of automation in workflow processes.

However, there are some potential challenges, including a management approach that can be authoritative with varying levels of approachability across departments. The workload can be demanding with tight timelines, and frequent restructuring creates uncertainty for teams that are already stretched. Some employees have noted limited training and career development opportunities, particularly when moving between departments. Additionally, there are cultural challenges in some teams, including political dynamics and inconsistent application of company values, whilst the lean structure with many contractors can impact team stability and retention.

Avoid Transurban, just stay positive and search for something meaningful.
The good thingsHonestly, there are NO good things that come to mind when I think of my time with Transurban.
The challengesThe culture is terrible, very toxic. If you are not an ex star employee, forget it! 90 percent of TCROs are ex star employees of which have carried their toxic behaviours with them. Training manager is a laugh, just throws you in the pit and actively works against you, does not train you at all.

Avoid unless you don’t have any other optionToo political workplace and lack of career growth. Engineers who work tirelessly are often blamed when things go wrong, while project managers take credit for any success. The engineering team is consistently undervalued, and senior management shows little understanding or recognition of their efforts. Management try to make changes every 1–2 years only add instability. Stay away from this place unless you don’t have other option

    Terrible culture, unethical company
The good thingsOnly good thing is the office space
The challengesVery political culture, most new senior leader out to make money and extremely unethical. Zero appreciation for real work, politics is what it takes to succeed. People would publicly criticise functions like HR in town halls who are frankly around only to stamp unfair policies and practices
