What’s it like working at Tree of Life?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees appreciate the friendly and welcoming colleagues who create a positive team atmosphere in stores, as well as the excellent staff discount on products. The customer interactions are generally pleasant and enjoyable, and staff feel proud to represent a company with ethical values, including fair trade practices and community giving. Employees also enjoy working with the beautiful and varied products, including clothing and jewellery.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as inconsistent communication from upper management, with decisions sometimes made without staff input and responses that can be slow or unclear. Shift availability can be limited for some employees, particularly casual staff, with reports of insufficient hours or unequal distribution. Some locations have experienced workplace culture challenges, including cliques and concerns about complaint handling. Additionally, staffing levels can be tight during busy periods, and some employees have found flexibility for time off to be limited, particularly around family commitments and important personal events.

Like a fast fashion outlet Very clicky team members
    The good thingsOver coming challenge
The challengesToo much over stock , online returns come off store budget terrible customer service people wear things returns after 3 weeks. , unsafe with the cameras to protect staff and just over all bad communication not much positive feedback back no incentive to make more money because making budget you receive no bonus. Hard work hard labour and constant change to be done in drop off hat not much freedom as a manger as it’s all up to head office very uninspiring. And like a fast fashion outlet

Toxic staff members, no action from Head Office, kind and respectful customers.
The good thingsGenuinely enjoyed the customer interactions, 9/10 times I'd look forward to my next interaction with them.
The challengesNeed to hire new staff and drop the old team. Team members who have been there for a few years have no respect for new authority and are too set in their way and won't budge no matter how much kindness and respect you have for them. Very toxic environment which is ironic since it's meant to be all peace, love and zen vibes.
